Koalicija Za budućnost Crne Gore je Školaka that in the name of the Director of the Airport, IN4S portal owner Gojko Raičević and long-time high-level official of the Ministry of the Interior Jelena Maraš. This proposal did not sit well with Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović, so the suggestion of new members of the Airport Board of Directors was rejected by the Government’s personnel committee. Raičević spoke out about it, sending a document to the Government of Montenegro and Minister Radulović.
– I learned about the decision from the media. Without intending to investigate the motives of the committee members, I want to inform you of the reasons that led me to accept the proposal of the NSD and sign the consent. My primary motivation was to, in line with the nature of my investigative work in uncovering various scandals in Montenegro, contribute to the discovery of irregularities in the work of this extremely important company. Whether this was the reason for the rejection of the proposal, or perhaps personal animosity from Deputy Prime Minister Nika Đeljošaj, who recently threatened to destroy the portal of which I am the editor, is less important to me. However, it is surprising the alleged unanimity of the committee’s decision. Perhaps the unanimous „no“ is actually a fear of my dedication to investigating crime and plundering the state budget? – Raičević states in the document.
He adds that he „truly only wants to make an additional contribution to freeing Montenegro from the pests that still, even after the changes, continue to ravage the common good“.
– I also want us to finally become a normal society, without crime and corruption, but it seems that this is not in everyone’s interest, especially not the aforementioned government committee. However, I understand the fears of individuals: ministers, committees, boards, and clubs, I understand because many have not tired in the fight for a fairer government and a freer life. For those who only fight their own battles and care about their personal budget, a fistful of power is more important than two fingers of honor. And since that is the case, it is fair that we are not together. Despite everything, even this unsuccessful attempt to publicly drag me through the mud, I want to wish you good luck in working for the benefit of the citizens, and success to the company Airports of Montenegro in its future work. In the end, I suggest that, in order to protect the dignity of future candidates for this or another position, the committee consider the candidates proposed by political parties, and then the Ministry seek the candidates’ approval. Such an approach would reduce the possibility of public discredit of candidates who „the terrain did not recognize“. I remain committed and dedicated to the changes that will bring good to our citizens – he concludes.
