Prof. dr Gabrijela Grujić, acting director of the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework, in the presence of mayor Milun Todorović and directors of high schools from the Moravički and Zlatiborski districts, presented three calls for financial support for students and employers involved in dual education in Čačak.

– This type of education has also been implemented at our Faculty of Technical Sciences, and in September we are opening a facility at the Mechanical-Traffic School dedicated to dual education in the textile industry. At the Mechanical-Traffic School, we will also develop the metal industry, and the construction of a large Training Center for high school students and adults is starting, with the state investing nearly three million euros in it – announced the mayor of Čačak, Milun Todorović.

In anticipation of the new school year, Prof. dr Gabrijela Grujić reminds that the Government of Serbia has allocated a total of 98 million dinars for the mentioned calls. Two calls have been announced by the Office for Dual Education and the National Qualifications Framework – one for non-refundable funds for students learning for shortage occupations through this model, and subsidies for employers for student compensation. The third call is actually a public invitation from the Ministry of Economy, worth 50 million dinars, allocated to companies for instructor compensation, as well as for students.

The first call allows students to receive an additional 5,000 dinars per month from the budget of Serbia, in addition to the compensation prescribed by law, for all years of schooling. The deadline for school applications is October 20th. The goal of the second call is to support micro and small enterprises in increasing student coverage, thus increasing the possibility of qualitative selection for future employment opportunities. Interested employers can apply until October 10th. The public invitation from the Ministry of Economy aims to strengthen the capacities of employers involved in dual education, and non-refundable funds can be obtained proportionally to the number of final year students in the 2024/2025 school year with whom they have a work-based learning contract. The student compensation cannot be less than 17,000 dinars, and the deadline for applications is September 12th.
