Kladovo – „Danube dance night“, a one-day event that has all the prerequisites to become a festival in the coming years, will be held on August 24, announced the organizers.
So far, Kladovo has hosted „Etno festival,“ „Border Rock festival,“ and „Zlatna bućka,“ and the fact that over 25,000 visitors attended the Kladovo festivals this summer speaks to the quality and interesting content.
The President of the Municipality of Kladovo, Saša Nikolić, expresses satisfaction with the fact that a large number of tourists visited the small town on the banks of the Danube this summer.
„Last year was a record-breaking year for the tourism sector, with an estimated 44,000 arrivals and 104,000 overnight stays. It was historically the most successful tourist season in Kladovo, and we are pleased that by mid-2024, we have the same number of arrivals and overnight stays as in the same period last year. This indicates that the record from last year was not accidental, but that the tourist offer in our municipality is continuously at a high level,“ Nikolić emphasized.
He adds that Kladovo has found its place on the tourist map of our country and jealously guards it.
„For example, the Fetislam fortress in the first eight months of this year has recorded twice as many visits as in the whole of 2023. In addition to the number of visitors, I think it is also important that all visitors to the mentioned events were satisfied with what they saw in Kladovo. The appearance of the city and the Fetislam fortress itself left no one indifferent, and numerous positive impressions and comments are something that drives us to do even more,“ Nikolić said.
He emphasizes that all events took place without any incidents, in a cheerful spirit and good atmosphere.
Nikolić points out that this is thanks to the people working in local government, organizations, institutions, and public companies under the jurisdiction of the municipality, all of whom contribute to ensuring that the festival’s content is of high quality and that everything in the city runs seamlessly before, during, and after the event.
He highlights that immediately after this year’s festivals, the municipal authorities began preparations for the next tourist season, for which they are preparing a rich program and numerous novelties.
„We strive for diverse content and to have a good event in all genres of music, from folk music that attracts the most people to rock, dance, techno, and other activities… So I can already promise an interesting summer in 2025. Organizing this is not easy because we insist that the quality be at a high level. But we succeed, with great effort and immense support from our fellow citizens, who are crucial for all of Kladovo’s successes,“ Nikolić concludes.
