Millions of Android users have access to a feature that could make their lives easier, but many device owners and gadget enthusiasts may not even know it exists. The application is called Extreme Battery Saver and is designed for situations when you need your battery to last as long as possible. It is an additional level of battery saving – above the standard that already limits apps and other features.
With extreme battery saving, your phone will also pause most apps, turn off more add-ons, and slow down processes. However, it won’t turn off basic system options such as Phone, Messages, Clock, and Settings. In an official Google memo, the tech giant notes that it can „help your phone’s battery last up to 72 hours,“ reports „The Sun.“
„Extreme battery saving allows turning off more options, pausing most apps, and slowing down processing for even more time between charges.“ To activate it, simply go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver > Extreme Battery Saver. You can also choose which apps will continue to work with Extreme Battery Saver active. For the greatest savings, you’ll want to allow only those apps that are truly essential. To adjust this list, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver > Extreme Battery Saver > Basic Apps.
When you turn on Extreme Battery Saver mode, most apps on your phone will stop. It is possible to undo the pause for specific apps if you really need to use them. Touch the paused app and you will then get the option to temporarily undo the pause.
Extreme Battery Saver is a great feature for those times when you need your battery to last longer than usual. Make sure to take advantage of this helpful tool on your Android device. Stay updated on our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as on X account.
