Human beings from Lešak in Kosovo and Metohija, led by fellow citizen Vasilije Stanišković, will organize a humanitarian tournament in mini football and basketball on January 5, 2025 at 2 pm in that place near Leposavić, in order to help in the treatment of a boy named Viktor Nedeljković from Leposavić.
The little boy is six years old and suffers from cerebral palsy, and the money is necessary for his further treatment and the surgery that awaits him soon. Viktor was born in the seventh month and premature birth caused numerous complications. Immediately after birth, he was transported to the Clinical Center in Kragujevac, where he spent two months in an incubator in the neonatology department. Due to bleeding in the brain, cerebral palsy was diagnosed. After that, he underwent rehabilitation treatments in Sokobanja in Belgrade, at the Clinical Center in Kragujevac, and in Banja Koviljača.
– In order for Viktor to walk, he goes to physical therapy in Niš and money is necessary for him to exercise more and be able to undergo surgery – says Vasilije, the organizer of the humanitarian sports tournament. – We decided to organize this humanitarian action and help the boy and his parents, mom Aleksandra and dad Nikola, who have only him. – In addition to physical therapy, the boy also needs money for a speech therapist and a defectologist.
Calling on interested parties to sign up and participate, Vasilije hopes that this humanitarian tournament in mini football and basketball for Viktor will be successful, just like the previous ones organized for other fellow citizens in need. Those interested in participating in the humanitarian tournaments in mini football and basketball can contact Vasilije Stanišković at the phone number: 064/438-2141.
