Italian Police Stop 103-Year-Old Driver with Expired License in Bondeno

RIM – Italian police stopped what is believed to be one of the oldest traffic offenders of all time, who was driving a car with an expired driver’s license and personal documents showed she is 103 years old.

The pensioner was driving a car in the center of the small Italian town of Bondeno in the north of the country in the middle of the night, local authorities announced, as reported by RTCG.
She caught attention because around one o’clock in the morning she was driving too fast and passed through the same streets several times.
During a routine check, the police discovered that the grandmother’s driver’s license had expired two years ago, and she did not have car insurance documents. Because of these offenses, her vehicle was confiscated.
The police then drove the elderly woman back home.
When asked where she was headed, she replied that she was going to visit friends who live outside the city.
Bondeno is a small town in the Emilia-Romagna region with around 15,000 inhabitants.
